Webinar Outline:
The biotensegrity concept inherently recognises that stability and ease of movement are not due to the strength of individual components but because of the way the system is configured.” Graham Scarr(1).
In the Whole Body Pelvic Health Method we first assess and promote improved breath, because in my experience this is a leading cause of pelvic floor dysfunction. Primarily Paradoxical breathing and reduced range of motion of breath and the systems involved. We follow this by exploring how we can then use the available breath and motion to stimulate the neuromuscular coordination of the pelvic floor.
I will be particularly focusing on the tensional relationship between the diaphragm and the pelvic diaphragm, and that lack of motion in one impacts the other based on biotensegrity principles.
In this webinar we will identify the key areas that, as movement or manual therapists, we can address to help people maximise their breath and pelvic floor potential.
This will be an experiential webinar with techniques you can take away and apply with your patients and clients right away.
