Webinar Outline:

Pain is not just a signal from injured tissue — it is a brain-generated experience shaped by perception, expectation, memory, emotion, and movement habits. This is why pain can persist long after tissues have healed, and why purely mechanical or strengthening approaches often fall short.

This workshop explores how imagery — and specifically the Franklin Method® — can directly influence pain by changing how the brain organizes movement, sensation, and muscular tone.

Through Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery™, participants will learn how mental imagery:

  • Reduces unnecessary muscle guarding and protective tension
  • Improves joint coordination and load distribution
  • Updates the brain’s internal body maps (body schema)
  • Decreases threat perception and pain sensitivity
  • Restores confidence, ease, and fluidity in movement

Rather than “fixing” the body, imagery works by changing the meaning the brain assigns to movement and sensation, allowing pain to soften naturally as movement becomes safer, clearer, and more efficient.

This experiential workshop combines:

  • Embodied anatomy and perception-based cueing
  • Practical imagery exercises you can use immediately
  • Movement explorations applicable to daily life, exercise, and rehabilitation
  • Movement teachers (Pilates, dance, yoga, fitness)
  • Physiotherapists & bodyworkers
  • Coaches and educators working with chronic or recurring pain
  • Anyone curious about a smarter, kinder approach to pain
