Webinar Outline:
This webinar will give a brief overview of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) including the subtypes and clinical manifestations. We will examine how this connective tissue disorder impacts our patient's lives and what therapeutic solutions we can offer to improve pain management, mobility and stability. EDS patients require different treatment strategies, and this will be explored in in depth.
By the end of the webinar attendees will be able to identify potential EDS patients and consider their treatment options in light of this new information. They will gain confidence in prescribing or adapting treatments to accommodate the needs of an EDS patient or client.Presenter Bio:
Jeannie di Bon
Jeannie Di Bon is a Movement Therapist specializing in working with people with hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and chronic pain with over ten years’ experience. Her research and study encompass Pilates, biomechanics, anatomy, neuroscience and pain management. Jeannie has hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and rehabbed her body and mind from chronic pain.
She presents globally for The EDS Society and other charities. Jeannie is also an educator of teachers and therapists in the field of hypermobility. Her range of digital courses – among them, Movement Strategies for the Hypermobile Client – have proven very popular. In July 2019, Jeannie launched The Zebra Club – a comprehensive collection of movement classes for people with
hypermobility, EDS and chronic pain.
She is the author of two books Pilates Without Tears (2016) and Hypermobility Without Tears (2019).
