Webinar Outline:
“Life shapes us and we shape it as well. Fascia, a biological organizing matrix, may be having its moment because it is a reflection of the larger discussions in the world today. Isolating anything, whether it be anatomical structures, elements of architecture, or social groups, changes its meaning and context. Environment is both the medium and milieu.” (Nemetz, 2023, The Myofascial System in Form and Movement)
By looking at shape and form, both in fascia and the larger patterns created in the natural and built world, we can gain insights into how things connect and relate, both on a myofascial level as well as through larger concepts in the macro-environment. Lauri will include some work from her latest explorations studying historical art and dissection in Italy as well as highlighting some of her work with other explorers in fascia. We will have time for questions and conversation. Expand the way you see and perceive fascia and cultivate your curiosity in conversation with Lauri.
